Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist during procedures and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including medical coding and documentation
- Perform patient assessments, including taking medical history and conducting oral health screenings
- Assist with dental imaging, including X-rays and CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification/degree in Dental Assisting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment, including X-ray machines
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
